Business Banter

A head full of acronyms
Is only cured by the sound of water in motion
Nights of simple smiles
And cold cola

Will do wonders for a mind stuffed
with corporate lingo, technical jargon
words that roll out of the mouth and
fall flat

Like pebbles that wanted to be skipped
In a river
But instead sank

How could it be that there’s beauty in business?
And yet the real wizards of the world know
The magic that awakens in wee hours
Keyboards and coffee cups.

Behind the hideous facades of architecture
Lies mysterious doors
Whose passageways are both
Incalculable
and
Unimaginable

Finding a home in a craft,
Is a pathway worth treading
Perhaps the only one
