Six Channels

As I sit,
The TV powers on

The show begins.

I’m a child’s cartoon
And a stock market ticker
I’m dramatic headline news
And a deliberate nature program
I’m a roaring adventure
And a giggling sitcom.

I sit on this cushion, eyes closed,
Watching the channels
Of my life.
